Lima, October 27, 2025.- High-caliber professionals from the mining industry, geotechnical consulting, academia, and civil engineering across Peru, the United States, Canada, Australia, Chile, and Brazil comprise the organizing committee of the upcoming international congress Slope Stability 2026 (SS2026), according to the Organizing Committee.

Relevance of the Committee

The SS2026 Organizing Committee is made up of a high-level, multidisciplinary international team that brings together technical, geotechnical, mining, and industrial expertise. The team is responsible for promoting youth participation (Young Geotechnical Engineers Program) and the inclusion of women in geotechnics (Women in Geotechnics Program).

Slope Stability, one of the world’s leading events on mine slope stability, is organized by the Large Open Pit Project (LOP) and supported in Peru by the Peruvian Society of Geoengineering (SPEG) and the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP).
